Electrical Mech 

The Electromechanical Technology I program is designed to prepare students for employment in any one or all of the following occupational areas:

  •  Residential Wiring
  •  Commercial Wiring
  •  Industrial Wiring
  •  Electromechanical Technology

The student will be actively involved in classroom electrical theory and practical lab as well as field experience in various construction and industrial situations.

It is the goal of the program is to not only prepare students for entry-level employment but also to provide them with the necessary knowledge of electrical theory and concepts. This will enable students to keep pace with the rapidly changing electrical field.

The State of West Virginia now requires all persons working in the electrical trade to be licensed. This requirement has increased the demand for skilled electricians who have the knowledge and ability to meet the licensing requirements.
